In response to the hardships faced by businesses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, local outdoor furniture manufacturer, The Best Adirondack Chair Company (TBACC), has launched an initiative that will see them utilize their specialty of handcrafting Adirondack furniture to support small businesses throughout North Grenville.
Effective Thursday, January 14, 2021at 12:01 a.m., the government is issuing a stay-at-home order requiring everyone to remain at home with exceptions for essential purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services, for exercise or for essential work. This order and other new and existing public health restrictions are aimed at limiting people's mobility and reducing the number of daily contacts with those outside an immediate household.
Digital Main Street Program Active in Leeds Grenville communities
Digital Service Squads working throughout Leeds Grenville have contacted over 450 businesses and are assisting many with their online needs.
According to the Business Development Bank of Canada, nearly 85% of Canadians were already buying online before the pandemic and 8 out of 10 Canadians who made an online purchase for the first time during the pandemic intend to continue shopping online after the crisis.
